Protective Covers Built to Engineering Specs

Custom-designed and manufactured for oilfield tools, subsea equipment, and industrial assets — from concept to delivery, right here in Houston.

Critical equipment is most vulnerable before it operates

During transport, storage, and field staging — whether offshore, onshore, or subsea — expensive tools are exposed to contamination, UV damage, debris, and handling incidents. Off-the-shelf covers don't fit. Generic solutions fall short.

We design protective covers from scratch — engineered to the exact dimensions, materials, and field conditions of each piece of equipment.

We work with:

  • Subsea & deepwater equipment

  • Downhole tools & BOP systems

  • Surface & wellhead systems

  • Offshore & onshore field assets

  • Equipment in transport, storage & staging

How We Work

From your engineer's requirements to a finished cover

Every project starts with a technical conversation. We capture the equipment dimensions, handling constraints, field exposure conditions, and any specific requirements from your engineering team — then design and manufacture a solution built specifically for that application.

Process steps:

1. Requirements capture & design
2. Material selection (UV, moisture, abrasion, chemical resistance)
3. Prototype build & fit validation
4. Production & delivery

KLV-8 / KLV-14 THREAD COVER

Worked alongside TechnipFMC to design and develop close-fitting protective covers for KLV-8, KLV-14, and KLV-16 connectors—engineered to reduce the risk of thread damage caused by dirt and debris during outdoor storage and transport.

Using 3D visualization (as required) and design-for-manufacturability principles, we defined the overall form, attachment strategy, and field-use features to ensure reliable handling in shipyard-type environments. We selected breathable, quick-drying, UV-resistant materials to prevent moisture retention and incorporated high-visibility elements to enable quick yard inspections and consistent orientation during handling.

First-article units were delivered for fit verification on an actual connector or mock-up, supported by detailed build notes, quality control checkpoints, and durable labeling designed to remain legible after prolonged sun exposure.

Christmas Tree Tarpaulin

Based on client-supplied inputs—coverage requirements, handling constraints, and available dimensional information—we developed 3D visualizations to illustrate a protective cover concept for TechnipFMC Subsea 2.0 equipment.

The visuals were created to communicate the intended final look, coverage, and practical handling considerations for outdoor storage and transport environments.

We focused on presenting a clear, production-aware concept—highlighting key openings, access needs, and how the cover would be deployed and secured—so stakeholders could review the approach with confidence and align on next steps.

In addition, we considered material direction and build practicality at a high level, ensuring the concept reflected real-world durability expectations without overcomplicating fabrication.
